About the role
11 state-of-the-art operating theatres
Full range of adult and paediatric surgeries (excluding cardiac, neuro, and transplant)
Diverse surgical caseload in a major referral centre
Pre- and post-operative care and participation in the acute pain service
Over 17,000 surgeries annually, 65,000+ ED presentations, and 57,000+ inpatient admissions
Accredited by ANZCA for 12 months of training time

FANZCA or 6 months from gaining FANZCA
IMGs assessed by ANZCA (and don't need to complete exams) or meet the expedited pathway are preferred

Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA)
CCT - Certificate of Completion of Training; Eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway if FRCA was awarded in or after 2007 with CCT.
Canada
Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) Anaesthesiology
United States
Board Certification in Anaesthesiology from the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
Ireland
Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (FCAI)
CSCST (Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training) required; Eligible for Expedited Specialist Pathway if FCAI awarded in or after 2012 with CSCST.
