Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport clients with mental health challenges, complex needs, and high behaviours of concernPassionate about promoting active, healthy livingAssist with personal care tasks (e.g. bathing, dressing) and manual handlingAvailability for short-notice shifts and sleepovers is essentialImplement person-centred active support and follow behaviour support plansAdvocate for client choice while ensuring safety and complianceLog daily care and changes in needs to ensure informed, coordinated supportSkills & ExperienceExperience with high behaviours of concern is requiredResilience and confidence in managing complex situationsAn unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicleDemonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktopA current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Pay rates starting from $41.76 (casual)Working across the scenic Central Coast area with easy access to parks, beaches, and outdoor activities, promoting a healthy lifestyleEnjoy exclusive salary packaging on everyday living expenses (including mortgage, rent and bills)About the OrganisationLife Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia.
