Key Responsibilities
This role involves arranging products according to a prearranged plan or personal ideas approved by management.
* Products are placed on shelves, showcases and sales floor by performing the following duties:
Transferring product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with sell by dates, maximize product in store and minimize product in stock room.
Orders are placed for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures to ensure no out-of-stocks conditions.
Display ideas are originated or followed as per suggestions of merchandiser manager and sales manager.
Effective daily communication is maintained with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided point of sale materials.
Ongoing tasks may be assigned by immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
Qualifications and Skills
A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must meet company driver qualifications.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Effective presentation skills are required to communicate with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats must be performed and interpreted.
Rates, ratios, percent, and graphs must be understood.
Physical Demands
The position requires standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms regularly.
Talking or hearing is frequently required.
Sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling are occasionally required.
Lifting and/or moving up to 70 pounds unassisted and occasionally lifting/moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand-truck or other manual lifting device is mandatory.
Working Environment
Reasonably exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
