We're looking for Community Support Workers to assist people with physical or intellectual disabilities or those with a history of trauma and neglect in the community.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for implementing tailored programs designed to support participants in achieving their goals.
This may include teaching life skills such as travel training, cooking, budgeting etc. This rewarding role is ideal for self-starters who thrive in autonomous roles and are motivated to help participants engage and connect with their community.
Key Responsibilities:
* A minimum Certificate III level qualification in Mental Health, Disabilities, Community Services or related field or willingness to enrol and obtain a relevant certificate.
* Demonstrate an ability to work without direct supervision.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Experience supporting people with an intellectual disability, learning disability or people with a history of trauma and neglect.
* Exhibit the ability to establish a professional working relationship with clients that is supportive, encouraging and challenging.
* Ability to handle challenging and adverse situations.
* Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within complex family dynamics.
* Ability and willingness to work in a diverse range of settings.
* Availability and willingness to work as part of a 7 day roster, between 6am-6pm.
* A vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance (to be used for work purposes) Current Driver's License.
