About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Coordinator for Children and Youth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for facilitating the identification of health, wellbeing and social needs of school-aged children and young people, and coordinating appropriate early intervention, assessments, and referrals to services.

Main Responsibilities:
* Work with local school principals, wellbeing teams, counsellors, and psychologists to deliver a comprehensive model of care for children and youth.
* Build trusting relationships with students and families to identify health needs and address barriers to accessing services.
* Establish a family-focused approach to connecting students and families to services and programs.
* Assist in the coordination of early intervention, assessments, and referrals to services and programs.
* Contribute to care coordination and case management of vulnerable children, young people, and families.
* Support access to health promotion programs and services to improve the health and wellbeing of the school community.
* Collect and report on service events as required, maintaining confidentiality and accurate healthcare documentation.

Requirements:
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working with children and young people.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience working with children and young people, including marginalized and at-risk groups.
* Ability to engage with families to address various health and mental health problems for children and young people.
* Capacity to work within an interagency context, building relationships, delivering services, and enhancing integration of care for children, young people, and families.
