Position Information
Yanco Agricultural High School is a selective, coeducational, fully residential school with a projected 2026 student enrolment of 350 students. Located in the NSW Riverina, 12 km from Leeton, the school has extensive agricultural facilities and a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, HSC achievement and student wellbeing. The school offers show stock programs and a range of agricultural activities and partnerships with the local community.
Responsibilities
- Teach English to a diverse range of learners, with capacity to differentiate learning experiences to engage, challenge and inspire academic growth.
- Effectively manage the classroom and apply innovative teaching and learning practices.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community; contribute to whole-school programs.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
- Unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
- Capacity to differentiate learning experiences to engage, challenge and inspire a diverse range of learners for academic growth.
- Ability to effectively manage the classroom and implement effective teaching and learning practices.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community; willingness to contribute to whole-school programs.
- Approval to teach is required; if not held, begin the application process concurrently.
