About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Officer to provide support and care for individuals in our residential facility. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day assistance with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
* Support clients in managing routines, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Administer medication in line with care plans and company policies.
* Implement and follow personalized care plans developed in collaboration with clients, families, and health professionals.
* Monitor client progress and provide feedback for care plan reviews.
* Encourage skill development and independence in line with NDIS goals.
* Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
* Facilitate outings, appointments, and engagement with community resources.
* Promote inclusion, dignity, and respect at all times.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in residential settings.
* Adhere to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and Care Companion Queensland's policies.
* Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral challenges in a professional manner.

Skills & Experience:

· Previous experience in aged care, disability, or community services preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a focus on resident wellbeing

· Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings

· Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
