Pillar Allied Health is a provider of therapy and assessment services with clinics in Newcastle and Brisbane. We pride ourselves on our inclusive approach, supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a welcoming environment. We have a team of psychologists, counsellors, dieticians, and occupational therapists across two locations. Our current Newcastle administration team are allied health professionals in training and have the opportunity to work with clients within a therapy assistant position under supervision of our psychologists.
Position: Casual Medical Receptionist
Location: Newcastle,
Employment Type: Casual (two days per week, with flexibility to cover sick leave as needed)
Key Responsibilities
* Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Manage appointment bookings (in-person and telehealth)
* Answer phone and email enquiries
* Process billing and payments
* Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality
* Support clinicians and admin team with day-to-day tasks
* Cover additional shifts at short notice when required (sick leave cover)
About You
* Previous experience in medical or allied health reception (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
* Comfortable with technology and practice management software (experience with PracSuite a plus)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work varying days and cover shifts at short notice
