- The role of Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for building effective relationships and improving collaboration within and across DSD, other divisions, and service providers for new ICT work for DAFF and other departments where DAFF provide a shared service._
**Who we are**
The Digital Enabling Services Branch supports the operations of the Digital Services Division, through the delivery of corporate services and continued digital transformation. The branch includes business engagement services, a program management office, human resource services, financial management and support, commercial services, records management, ERP Systems, Web Systems, and the Ways of Working (WoW) Enablement Centre. The branch also includes the Shared Services Centre supporting administration of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with participating entities including cost-allocation, formal governance and drives efficiencies in the delivery of shared services.
The Business Engagement Section is the "front door" into the division for new ICT proposals. The section works closely with other divisions and departments regarding their requests and is responsible for cross collaboration and engagement with all relevant DSD teams to assist with analysis and solution design. Following this early engagement, the section is also responsible for the DSD Costing process (Request for Service (RFS)).
**The Job**
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- working with staff at all levels, including Senior Executive Service, ensuring early engagement of DSD to improve understanding of business problems and work with the relevant DSD teams and service providers/partners to identify the most appropriate ICT solutions
- identifying opportunities for ICT to improve outcomes for other divisions, including through innovation
- contributing to ICT investment planning and the department's investment governance process/es, including effective transition into the delivery pipeline
- contributing to the management and reporting of ICT demand
- the completion of costings for ICT solutions for New Policy Proposals and Business Cases
- working closely with the Director and broader team to identify and implement process improvement regarding the functions of the Business Engagement Section
- the opportunity for acting at the director level when the director is on leave and includes representing the division at various meetings including task forces and governance committees.

**Knowledge and experience**
- Experience working with a broad range of customers and stakeholders, at all levels.
- Experience working in an ICT environment.
- Whilst not essential, ICT/technical knowledge would also be desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) Service Design and Delivery process.
- Experience supervising staff and leading a team.
**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry you must be an Australian citizen.
**Security Clearance** - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
**Pre-employment Check** - Your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check, referee checks, character clearance and where required a pre-employment medical assessment, specified mandatory qualification(s) validation and a probation period of 6 months.
