Overview

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher – Science - Biology for permanent and fixed term, full time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Woodvale Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a pool of highly motivated Biology teachers to join their team. The Role and Qualifications

Suitable applicants will be motivated teachers with excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students. Strong knowledge of Year 11 and 12 Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Biology would be advantageous. Applicants should be reflective practitioners with data literacy skills and the ability to modify practice to meet student needs. Experience with innovative classroom practices and integration of information technology is highly regarded. The role involves working as part of a team to develop, review and deliver science curriculum to ATAR level, engaging in 21st Century learning practices, and fostering a safe and supportive learning environment that enables all students to reach their potential.

The College has a STEM facility; capacity to engage in STEM-related classroom innovation will be highly regarded.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
