Job Overview
The Hatchery Associate role involves working in a coolroom environment with early morning shifts. Duties include loading and transporting trollies of eggs, general cleaning, and egg transfers.
* Coolroom Duties: Loading and transporting trollies of eggs within a chilled environment.
* Transfers Duties: Loading trays of eggs for sorting, transporting trollies of eggs into incubation, general cleaning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Physically Demanding: Capable of repetitive manual handling and pushing full trollies of eggs.
* Availability: Available to work four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
* Egg Handling: Comfortable with handling eggs and baby chicks.
* Conflict of Interest: Must not live with anyone who works in poultry processing or on poultry farms.
* Pet Policy: Cannot have pet birds or pigs due to quarantine requirements.
* Jewellery: Must remove all jewellery that cannot be removed for work.
* Communication Skills: Good communication skills, capable of passing a basic physical assessment.
* Transportation: Independent transport to/from work is required.
