The Opportunity:
We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Renewable Energy Team as the Aboriginal Partnerships Coordinator, supporting the Renewable Energy Program in softwood plantations by engaging with Aboriginal communities on the opportunities emerging from proposed wind farm developments.

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aboriginal Partnerships Coordinator to establish and nurture partnerships with Aboriginal communities, initially around our Renewable Energy Program.
The role involves fostering collaboration that enhances both our business initiatives and community outcomes.
This position will be key in developing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives that create mutual benefits and expand opportunities for Aboriginal communities within the softwood forest estate.
The initial focus will be on opportunities arising from the Renewable Energy Program, with potential for opportunities directly with the Softwood Plantation Division to emerge over time.
We would love you to have/be:
This position is an identified position, and it is essential that the occupant be of Aboriginal descent.
A skilled communicator with a deep understanding of Aboriginal communities and the capacity to build strong, respectful partnerships.
Proven experience in Aboriginal community engagement, ideally within natural resource management or renewable energy sectors.
Strong understanding of Native Title Act requirements and Aboriginal cultural heritage considerations.
Significant experience in developing policy and strategy regarding the management of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and community engagement.
Sound knowledge of Aboriginal cultural heritage issues, including experience in conducting relevant surveys, preferably within the natural forest context.
