Our client URGENTLY requires a Student Engineer (Civil) for a 6 months + Contract in Nerang.
This role is up to 2-3 days per week during semesters, and full-time during University holidays. The Student Engineer will be required to be currently enrolled in a second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord.
Responsibilities include:
* Investigate and review road asset conditions and utilising 'big data' analytics to identify issues and solutions on the state-controlled network.
* Contribute to the development of asset maintenance programs to ensure best value for money with road asset maintenance treatments within the region.
* Contribute to management plans for road asset maintenance for various elements including pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing, structures and other drainage components, batter slope, heavy vehicle permits, traffic signage and delineation.
* Provide technical advice and assistance in asset management to other officers; including asset condition investigation and analysis, assisting in preparation of forward programs for various elements.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
