Media and Communications Officer
About the Role
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Media and Communications Officer to join our dynamic team.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing communications and engagement plans for important events and significant project milestones in the Victoria Daly Region.
* You will work closely with our community facing teams to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the Council.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the Council.
* Source, produce, collate, and edit content for the Council's key publications and communications.
* Deliver consistent messaging across all media platforms that align with the Council's plans and advocacy objectives.
* Draft media statements as required and correspondence to Ministers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
* Qualifications or demonstrated experience in journalism, media, or public affairs.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond quickly and sensitively under pressure.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
