About the Role:
After winning exciting projects in the Health + Science sector in Brisbane, we are looking for an ambitious, Registered Project Architect or Senior Project Architect to step in to assist the team for a period of 6 months, with an immediate start. You need to be able to hit the ground running and step up and take ownership for delivering challenging and interesting projects across a range of sectors, with experience in the Health + Science sector being highly regarded.
It is essential that you have both strong design and delivery skills and the ability to take a project from end to end, including managing teams, clients, and consultants. Your people skills and teamwork approach are as important to us as your design and technical skills, and we are seeking people who are passionate about design and driven to produce superior design outcomes.
You will need to have a solid understanding of Revit and be able to produce and assist with thorough and considered documentation packages.
We are open to applicants who can work from either our Melbourne or Brisbane studio.
General Duties:
* Play an active role in the delivery and management of projects from all stages; concept design to contract administration
* Manage the day-to-day operations of projects, updating Partners when necessary
* Ability to create and review drawings in Revit; including checking and marking up drawings and reviewing team members' drawings and documenting projects if needed
* Leading and working in cohesive teams
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders
* Contributing to the ongoing development and mentoring of other staff members
About you:
This may suit someone transitioning between roles, or on a Working Holiday Visa, who is enthusiastic and open-minded, and interested in working on projects across various disciplines. You need to be able to apply your strong design, design development and construction knowledge into something that is inspiring yet functional.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Demonstrated high level of expertise in Revit
* At least 5-6 years' Architectural Experience
* Extensive experience in design development and construction detailing in Healthcare, Commercial or Education sectors will be highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering designs from briefing to project handover
* Demonstrated experience in working with Project Managers and Consultants as part of a larger design team
* Excellent communication skills
* Capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously as required
* Rendering and visualisation skills will also be highly regarded
