Role Overview
The Critical Technologies Team develops policies, programs, and initiatives to enhance the State’s research and development in critical technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, photonics, and quantum technologies. The team promotes industry awareness and adoption of these technologies and leads the development and implementation of the Cyber Security industry development workplan.
Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation and evaluation of the Cyber Security industry development workplan.
* Manage stakeholder engagement plans to connect key South Australian and Australian cyber security stakeholders across private, public, and academic sectors.
* Guide the development of cyber security commercialization, policies, research, and development opportunities.
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including software, infrastructure, and cyber security businesses, vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Represent the Department at conferences, events, forums, and meetings related to cyber security.
Key Competencies

* Knowledge of cyber security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and industry growth opportunities.
* Experience in government policy development, governance, and decision-making processes.
* Proven ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate programs that promote innovation and growth in cyber security.
* Experience in industry engagement, business development, and stakeholder management.
* Vendor and contract management skills.
* Strategic thinking and high-level analytical skills.
Qualifications
* Essential: None
* Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Business Development, or Project Management.
Conditions & Benefits
The role is a full-time, two-year contract with a salary range of $108,109 to $116,864 per annum plus superannuation. Benefits include flexible leave, modern office facilities, hybrid work arrangements, and professional development opportunities.
