Our client, a major organisation within the mining and resources sector, is seeking an experienced
Health & Safety Advisor
to support HSE performance across a significant brownfields program in the Pilbara. This long-term contract offers stability, strong team support, and an opportunity to contribute to safe and efficient project delivery.
This role is ideal for an HSE professional with solid experience in mining or large-scale construction environments, who is confident working within structured systems and engaging with frontline teams.
About the Role
As a key member of the on-site HSE team, you will provide practical safety support to supervisors, contractors, and project personnel. You'll contribute to risk management processes, inspections, incident investigations, and safety communications, while helping drive an engaged and proactive safety culture across the site.
You will work closely with:
* HSE Superintendent
* Senior HSE Advisors
* HSE Administrators
* Operational and project leadership teams
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily field leadership activities, workplace inspections, and permit verification.
* Support risk assessments, JHAs, hazard identification and control processes.
* Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
* Deliver toolbox talks, pre-start engagement, and safety communications.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site procedures, and HSE management systems.
* Maintain accurate records, HSE data, and weekly/monthly reporting requirements.
* Provide practical guidance and support to frontline teams and contractors.
* Contribute to safety initiatives, behavioural programs, and continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Experience as an HSE Advisor on mining or major construction projects.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and field-based safety processes.
* Previous exposure to EPCM, contractor, or client-side project environments.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
* Proficiency in HSE systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Cert IV, Diploma, or Degree in WHS/OHS or a related field.
* Construction White Card and current driver's licence.
