**What You'll Be Doing**
- SWSLHD Population Health aims to protect and promote the health of the local population, reduce health inequalities, and achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all residents of South Western Sydney.
- The services provided include prevention, early intervention, and health promotion programs designed to help individuals and families adopt healthy behaviours and avoid illness. The team works in partnership with the community to create health-promoting physical and social environments, ensuring accessible, fair, and culturally appropriate services.
- SWSLHD Population Health is committed to continuous quality improvement and environmental sustainability, upholding the district's CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment.

- To provide high level biostatistical and data management support to research projects and surveillance programs conducted by the Population Health Research & Epidemiology Unit, Population Health.

To provide high level advice in biostatistics and data management to the SWSLHD Executive, Population Health and others.

**Where You'll Be Working**

**How to Apply**
- Tertiary level qualifications in biostatistics or relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in biostatistics.
- Outline your experience in advanced statistical methods, including new techniques such as generalised estimating equations, case-crossover analyses, multi-level modelling, etc.
- Describe your experience in the use of routinely collected data (including linked data) in monitoring the health status of a population and in secondary research and evaluation.
- Experience, or sound understanding or population health research methods and meta-analysis.
- Highly developed skills in the use of at least one statistical software (e.g. R, Python, SAS), including advanced programming abilities. Experience with R is preferred.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
