About The Position
As part of a groundbreaking research project, we invite applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Antarctic Ice Sheet Reconstruction.
* We are seeking an exceptional candidate to conduct cutting-edge research in paleo ice sheet science and contribute to developing a new three-dimensional model of Glacial Isostatic Adjustment.
* The selected fellow will work collaboratively with the team to achieve this goal and build an ensemble of ice sheet reconstructions consistent with data and informed by models.
This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on reconstructing the Antarctic Ice Sheet, focusing on the East Antarctic Ice Sheet from the Last Glacial Maximum to present.
The successful candidate will have the chance to apply their expertise and develop novel methods for addressing critical challenges in ice sheet modeling.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to contribute to building a collegial and collaborative research environment.
This role offers an exciting chance to be part of a leading Antarctic research team while working within a renowned institution based in Tasmania.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct innovative research in paleo ice sheet science.
* Collaborate with the team to develop a new 3D model of Glacial Isostatic Adjustment.
* Contribute to building an ensemble of ice sheet reconstructions.
Benefits:
This postdoctoral position comes with a competitive salary package and access to world-class research facilities. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., glaciology, geophysics, or climate science) and have experience in conducting cutting-edge research in paleo ice sheet science. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
