Marketing Manager (12 Month Parental Leave Replacement Contract)

The MTA WA is the peak body representing the Western Australian motor industry. With a proud history and a strong future focus, we support automotive businesses through advocacy, membership services, training, apprentice employment, and industry leadership.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our brand, communications, events, and strategic marketing activity on a 12-month parental leave replacement contract.

Working closely with teams across Membership and Industry Engagement, Training, and Apprentice Employment, you will lead campaigns and communications across digital, print and event channels that articulate the value of MTA WA membership, support advocacy activity, and drive participation in our training programs and employment services.

This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines strategic direction, delivery and team leadership within an established marketing function.

Key Responsibilities

Industry‑Focused Communications: Develop and deliver tailored communications that keep members and stakeholders informed, engaged and confident in the MTA WA's role and services.

Brand Strategy & Execution: Lead a consistent brand narrative through strong governance and execution, ensuring cohesive messaging and compelling content across all platforms, campaigns and touch points.

Campaign Leadership: Lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of integrated marketing campaigns that drive industry participation, advocacy outcomes and uptake of training and employment services.

Channel Oversight: Lead and manage the MTA WA's communication channels and marketing assets — including the website, magazine, e-newsletters, publications, social media, advertising, and brand and campaign collateral — providing strategic oversight and hands‑on delivery as required, and ensuring alignment across owned, paid and earned media.

PR Alignment: Support PR activity by ensuring all media materials align with brand and marketing strategy.

Event Management: Provide oversight of the planning and delivery of events and brand activations, including engagement events, member‑facing events, regional tours, industry conferences, awards galas and expos.

Insights & Optimisation: Monitor and analyse performance metrics and campaign outcomes to inform decision‑making, maximise ROI and refine activity.

Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a small marketing team and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery, clear priorities and strategic alignment.

About You

Experience: 5–10 years' experience in marketing, brand or communications, ideally within a member-based organisation or across advocacy and stakeholder engagement.

Capability & Skills: Proven campaign and brand leadership, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. Confident using analytics and performance data to inform decision‑making and optimise outcomes.

Collaborative & Influential: Comfortable working across teams and with senior stakeholders, balancing competing priorities while advocating for outcomes that support strategic, brand and organisational objectives.

Team & Culture Fit: A collaborative, organised and adaptable professional with experience leading and supporting marketing professionals in a fast‑paced environment.

What We Offer

Flexible Hours: Nine‑day fortnight or part‑time options available.

Work with Purpose: See the real impact of your work across industry, training and workforce development.

Supportive & Collaborative Team Environment: You'll be backed by people you genuinely enjoy working with.

Influence & Ownership: Play a key role in shaping a trusted WA industry brand and how it engages with members and stakeholders.
