The Position We are seeking a Training Officer for a position at our headquarters in Canberra within the Programs department. As a Training Officer, you will provide the Project Management Office (PMO) with robust training services, to ensure successful integration of Programs input into CEA business operations, thereby enabling the successful delivery of existing commitments and future opportunities. Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidate will be required to contribute and uphold CEA's training strategy, supporting project activity, and the enhancement of PMO processes and businesses systems. Your duties will include: Contribute to CEA's Training Strategy: Maintain a detailed understanding of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) and its application to CEA training projects. Maintain excellent working relationships with key ADF stakeholders. Support CEA Project activity: As part of a team or individually analyse training requirements for each project, in order to design and develop multiple Learning Management Packages. Work with relevant ADF stakeholders to ensure training outcomes are consistent with both contracted and end-user requirements. In Accordance With (IAW) the contract work with Project Teams, Engineering and ILS staff to analyse, design and develop a range of training courseware including, but not limited to: - Face to face training. - Practical exercises and instructor led demonstrations for system operators and maintainers. - Assist with developing training resources such as classroom presentations, practical exercises, setting up hardware resources and computer aided tools. - Formative and Summative assessment tools. - Review strategies and Course evaluation tools. - Conduct post course evaluation with ADF stakeholders, action the recommendations; and - Maintain/Update all training packages IAW the contract. Support CEA Corporate Training activity: Development and/or delivery of internal compliance training when required. Essential Skills Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Experience in training design and development within Defence would be a significant advantage. High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound recommendations to Projects and ADF stakeholders. Desirable Skills Adept in the use of Microsoft suite applications and an advanced level of PowerPoint and experience with e-learning software/platforms. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes and conduct presentations. Demonstrates a consultative approach that is solutions driven. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
