About the role
An exciting role with a global,industry-leading Manufacturing organisation currently exists in order to fill a business-critical role in their team. This Finance Business Partner position will partner cross-functionally with the various business units to ensure financial outcomes are in line with the strategic direction. Initially this will be a 6 month contractual assignment, however there is then the view to transition into a permanent full-time role.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
* Budgeting, forecasting & planning
* Product costing
* Assist in providing finance leadership and direction toward the achievement of the strategy for various factories/sites/plants, through partnering
* Ensure Finance objectives for the team are understood and strategies are in place to achieve. This includes having an in-depth understanding of how the financial drivers and costs in the area they influence, along with how to use the system to review KPI performance against set targets.
* Work collaboratively with Operations Managers and GM's, to maximise financial performance of the factories/sites/plants.
* Create and drive a culture of excellence through all interactions with the business.
* Develop constructive business partnering relationships with key internal stakeholders.
* Evaluate budgets, proposed expenditure, and business changes for commercial astuteness.
* Ad-hoc process improvement
The successful applicant will have
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail and an extensive product costing background. Prior experience within the Manufacturing sector will also be viewed favourably.
