Your new role
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer (Temporary) to cover leave for approximately 2 months.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing development and subdivision drawings and coordinating feedback across departments.
* Providing technical engineering advice on Development Applications.
* Conducting inspections and issuing compliance reports.
* Advising on engineering assessments and Council policies.
* Attending site meetings and pre-start inspections.
* Managing customer requests and complaints via the CRM system.
* Supporting the Development & Transport team and Asset Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in traffic or civil engineering within a local government context.
* Strong understanding of development assessment and subdivision processes.
* Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and council policies.
