Teacher, Nursing (South Bank) – Brisbane Inner City, Australia
The Role
As a TAFE Teacher in the Nursing Team, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry professionals by sharing your extensive industry knowledge with students in a classroom or other educational setting.
We have a temporary, part‐time (0.8 FTE) position available until 31 December 2026, based at our South Bank campus.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
The salary range for a Teacher 4 to Senior Teacher 3 is $84,174.48 – $93,065.70 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary (dependent on qualifications held).
* Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually) (pro rata for part‐time)
* Five (5) weeks non‐attendance time programmed annually for preparation (pro rata for part‐time)
* 12.75% superannuation and salary packaging options available

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess the following:
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed:
* Possession of a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent relevant qualification in education.
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the health and nursing industry is required.
Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
* TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools.
* TAE50111 – Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
* TAE50116 – Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor.
* TAE50211 – Diploma of Training Design and Development.
* TAE50216 – Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor.
* Higher level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
* Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
* Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
* Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
* Current Queensland Driver's license.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly desirable
* High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
