Information Governance Lead Job Summary
This role plays a pivotal part in our Enterprise Information Management team.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and coordination of an Information Governance function, focused on embedding strong governance controls across policies, systems, and processes.
* Develop and maintain organisational metrics to assess and measure information governance maturity.
* Identify opportunities to embed data and information governance requirements into applications for improved business outcomes.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to design risk-informed strategies for compliance.
Responsibilities include coordinating and maturing an Information Governance capability with a focus on information decision-rights, disposal, and data protection.
Excellent knowledge of Australian information management and information governance regulatory requirements is essential.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of current and emergent practices in information management and information governance, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key qualifications include experience working with data and information governance standards, and a deep understanding of how these standards impact information environments.
