About The Role
Multiple permanent opportunities available
Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services is a state-of-the-art facility that will deliver 90 additional beds in West Moreton as part of Queensland Health's Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery Program. The project will deliver a three-storey facility located on Botany Drive, South Ripley. It is located on the Ripley Health Campus and is co-located with the current Satellite Health Centre.
The ward will be operational 24 hrs day 7 days a week and staffed by a multidisciplinary team. The facility is equipped with internal and outdoor therapy areas with an on-demand food service model to compliment therapy programs.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Advanced clinical knowledge in the area of Rehabilitation and discharge planning in the deliverance of expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
* Ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
* Ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well-developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
* Ability to participate in the multidisciplinary team to identify areas for improvement in work practices and outcomes and contribute to the continued improvement of policies and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
