About the Role
In this hybrid role as a Business Development & Account Manager – Logistics & Key Accounts, you'll manage a portfolio of major customers. Your focus will be on maintaining strong relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring service excellence across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
* Winning new business with key logistics clients to meet growth targets
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key logistics clients to meet revenue and profitability targets
* Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with annual sales budgets
* Develop tailored sales plans and value-based proposals for each prospect
* Collaborate with internal teams including operations, drivers, and customer service to ensure seamless delivery
* Monitor onboarding and first 90 days of trade to ensure satisfaction and integrity
* Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support commercial strategy
* Maintain a strong on-going pipeline
* Foster and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders
* Maximise client's share of wallet
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain account management
* Demonstrable history of new business development
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
* Commercial acumen and solution-based selling experience
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities
* Ability to building relationships across multiple layers within an organisation
* Self-driven, organised, and detail-oriented
* Effective presentation skills & interpersonal communication
* Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
