Aircraft maintenance is a crucial aspect of aviation, ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft.
This role offers a unique opportunity to start a career in aviation and develop skills in mechanical, structures, or avionics.
You will work under direct supervision, learning to carry out inspections, testing, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft components.
* Interpret health and safety practices in aviation maintenance
* Plan and organize aviation maintenance work activities
* Apply quality standards applicable to aviation maintenance processes
* Interpret and use aviation maintenance industry manuals and specifications
* Complete aviation maintenance industry documentation
* Perform basic hand skills, standard trade practices, and fundamentals in aviation maintenance
* Undertake technical and professional training as required
The apprenticeship structure will see you apply knowledge from your theory studies within the workplace and on-the-job competency acquisition as demonstrated through an experience journal.
Your theory studies will be completed at Padstow TAFE.
You will be supported by experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Mentors who will guide you throughout your journey.
