A new opportunity has opened for a Caretaker/ Facility Coordinator to join our teams at Carnaby Rise Primary School in Landsdale on a permanent full-time basis. The role is required to provide high standard of caretaker services throughout the school facilities Monday to Friday
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* Able to undertake general repairs and maintenance as well as planned preventative maintenance throughout the school and surrounding grounds
* Overseeing all activities across the school grounds and buildings, ensuring Occupational Health and Safety standards are met
* Identify and report services faults, book trades and supervise contractors
* Cleaning of external areas including pathways, bin area and common areas
* Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
* Adhere to Downer Zero Harm Standards and practices
* Must be available Monday to Friday between 6am-6pm for a rotating roster
What You'll Bring (experience required)
* Experience in trade services would be advantageous
* General handyman skills are required
* A good communicator who can follow instructions and is willing to learn
* Safety focused with a high level of attention to detail
* Supervise a fast yet efficient service and is responsive to the demands and needs of our customers
* Have resilience, a 'can-do' attitude and be adaptable
* Good level of fitness and physical ability

**Please note, as a prerequisite for this role candidates will be required to complete workrights check, Working with Children Check, pre-employment medical check, National Police Check and reference checks.
