Killed Labourer Required – Aged Care Refurbishment Projects | Central Coast & Newcastle
We’re seeking a reliable and skilled labourer to assist on aged care refurbishment construction projects across the Central Coast and Newcastle region. This role requires someone who understands the importance of working safely in live environments and can maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.
Key Requirements
* Valid White Card and Police Check (mandatory)
* Own reliable transport, ability to travel between sites is essential
* Experience using hand tools and power tools
* Must own basic tools (e.g. cordless drill, hammer, screwdrivers, etc.)
* Fluent English (written and verbal)
* Ability to work safely and unsupervised
* Strong understanding of PPE requirements – strictly enforced
* Ability to read and interpret site plans/drawings
* Carpentry background preferred
* Punctual and dependable
* Willing to report progress regularly when working independently
* Positive, solutions-focused attitude: “No problems, only solutions”
Typical Duties
* Installing hoardings and bollards in car parks
* Assisting with site setup and deliveries
* Setting up safe work zones (bollards, barricades, safety tape)
* Maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards
* Securing work areas at the end of each day
* Opening sites for trades and managing sign-in registers
* Ensuring all personnel follow PPE and site safety protocols
* Working respectfully within operational aged care facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
* Occasional extended hours depending on workload
* No weekend work unless in emergency situations

You’ll be working across active aged care environments, so awareness, respect, and attention to safety are critical. While the work environment is easy-going, there’s a strong expectation that tasks are completed properly, no shortcuts, especially when it comes to safety and resident wellbeing.
The priority is simple: everyone goes home safe at the end of the day, residents, staff, contractors, and you.
