Professional Practice Group (PPG) Administrator


The opportunity

As our Professional Practice Group Administrator you'll work closely with the Oceania Professional Practice Director (Oceania PPG) and the PPG team, client‑serving leaders and professionals in Oceania on activities supporting Audit Quality and management of the professional practice function. The PPG Administrator takes lead in maintaining the PPG activities calendar by mapping relevant System of Quality Management (SQM) compliance matters required within Assurance for which PPG is responsible, supporting control operators and owners in operating the process, and supporting annual testing by the monitoring team. Leads the Governance and policy committees in accordance with the charters by organising meetings, preparing agenda, tracking minutes and following up on the action items.

This is based in Naarm – Melbourne, Meanjin – Brisbane or Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.


Your Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain relationships with the risk management team, relevant EY Global delegates, finance and other market location leaders and PPGs.
* Build and maintain relationships with client‑serving staff in market location/SSL to connect and compile information required for regulatory compliances, firm registration and other regulator submission related processes.
* Learn and familiarise yourself with the SQM framework, as applicable to the professional practice, including details on reports and other information required by the control owners and control operators to be compliant with the process and frequency of performing the controls.


Skills And Attributes For Success

* 3 – 6 years of previous work experience; professional services experience advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Intermediate – Advanced Excel skills.
* Experience working closely with large groups of people in a professional service‑oriented environment (workforce planning or previous resource planning is advantageous, but not essential).

Ideally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

* A key interest in driving best practices and building relationships across functional teams.
* An understanding of the key tools and reports relevant for audit quality.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Prioritization, organisation and coordination skills.
