CRVCID 715278. A Permanent Part‐Time appointment for 64 hours per fortnight.

Position

Nurse Practitioner – Paediatric Vascular Access service at Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS), delivering care at Perth Children's Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

Provide a clinical service in collaboration with other health professionals to diagnose, treat and manage paediatric patients requiring or with central vascular access devices (CVAD), in accordance with national legislation. The Nurse Practitioner performs advanced physical assessment, orders diagnostic tests, interprets the results, initiates referrals to relevant health providers, and prescribes appropriate medications and other therapies as needed. He/she provides clinical leadership to the CVAD nursing team and practices within the scope of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Eligibility & Conditions

Applicants must hold a valid working visa or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia. WA Health requires criminal records screening, integrity checking and may require a working with children check and pre‐employment health assessment.
