Salary:
* WHA4 $29.70 - $30.01 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual (up to 30 June 2026)
* WHA3 $29.11 - $29.41 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual (up to 30 June 2026)

This position will be filled at either WHA4 or WHA3 classification.
Overview
As part of our friendly and supportive team environment, you will assist in the care and supervision of residents at the Cowell Hospital. This will include bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming of residents, along with toileting and continence management. You will help with feeding residents and maintain their mobility/dexterity through transferring and lifting, including the use of mechanical aides. You will also undertake bed making, cleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area (including personal possessions), and distribute clean laundry and personal attire. Providing input into resident assessment and recording general observations, you will help to identify diversional therapy needs of individuals and/or groups and complete routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will possess sound knowledge of safe working conditions and environments for residents, staff and yourself as a Care Worker. Along with the ability to perform under limited direction, you will work well within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. You will be committed to maintaining resident confidentiality, and display empathy and a willingness to develop positive rapport with residents and their families. To be appointed to the WHA4 level, you will have completed the Aged Care Certificate III and can demonstrate direct care experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
