Senior Electrical Engineer Earthing Systems

$130,000 $150,000 + Super (up to $160,000 + Super for highly experienced candidates)
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions across a wide range of industries. You will:
* Prepare and review technical deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.
* Lead and manage projects, achieving budgetary, quality, and programme expectations.
* Support business development initiatives and foster client relationships.
* Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and contribute to continuous business improvement.
* Provide expert feedback and advice to management for operational enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Australian-recognised).
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or eligibility to obtain.
* Greater than 7 years' experience in electrical engineering.
* Proven experience in high voltage earthing system analysis and reporting.
* Extensive field experience in earthing system testing (soil resistivity, fall of potential, current injection).
* Proficiency with CDEGS (preferred) for earthing design; additional HV power systems experience with PTW or ETAP desirable.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Business Development & Client Relationships
* Scope and prepare proposals, ensuring alignment with client business needs.
* Manage project performance against deliverables, budget, and programme.
* Set up and monitor projects in business systems.
* Mitigate risks by managing variations, resources, and contract conditions.
* Apply advanced technical knowledge in electrical HV earthing systems.
* Prepare and review designs, reports, inspections, and test results.
* Conduct field testing and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
* Provide technical support during design, delivery, and commissioning phases.
* Actively mentor and support the development of junior engineers.
