About the Role
Flexopack is seeking an experienced Printing & Lamination Manager to lead and optimise our printing and lamination operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for production performance, quality control, team leadership, and continuous improvement across the department.
You will play a critical role in ensuring production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while driving operational excellence and strong team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day printing and lamination operations
* Lead, train, and motivate production teams to achieve performance KPIs
* Plan and schedule jobs to meet customer deadlines and production targets
* Ensure all product meets internal quality standards and customer specifications
* Monitor material usage, cost efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives
* Troubleshoot machinery, process, and production issues
* Enforce WHS, GMP, and company policies across the department
* Collaborate closely with maintenance, planning, and quality teams
* Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
* Support capital equipment upgrades and new product or material trials
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified Flexographic Printer (essential)
* Proven experience managing printing and/or lamination operations
* Strong technical knowledge of flexographic printing presses, laminators, and flexible packaging equipment
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong planning, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
* Ability to read and interpret job specifications, artwork, and production plans
* High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
* Sound understanding of WHS and food‑grade manufacturing requirements
* Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement highly regarded
