The Role: Chef de Partie – Harriett (Weddings & Events)
We are seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partieto play a hands-on role in our events kitchen at Harriett. You'll support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional food experiences for weddings and special events, working within one of the Yarra Valley's most beautiful venues.
This is an exciting opportunity to refine your craft in high-volume, premium event catering while growing within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard across weddings and event functions
Managing your section efficiently during preparation, service, and pack-down
Uphold consistency and quality across all plated and banquet-style service
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver seamless event execution
Maintain compliance with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene protocols
Contribute to menu execution and seasonal offerings
Skills and Experience
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or a strong Demi Chef ready to step up
Background in a high-volume restaurant or event catering
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet event service deadlines
Passion for food, creativity, and guest satisfaction
Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP
