Task & Responsibilities
This position will be offered on a fulltime, ongoing basis and located in Griffith, NSW, but with a requirement to work also for periods of time at Merbein, Vic.
With the key responsibilities ofmanaging the procurement and purchasing of materials, products and services for Cowanna and its customers, your daily responsibilities will include:
* Management of the company’s purchasing, storage and distribution channels.
* Liaising with suppliers/manufacturers and negotiating the best contracts possible based on the requirements of the business.
* Developing, implementing and maintaining procurement policies, directives and company procedures.
* General customer liaison.
* Liaise with service department to provide customer quotations and follow up where required.
* Collate information for warranty claims.
* Developing cost effective strategies for purchasing, storage and distribution whilst maintaining quality and supply levels.
* Promoting safe work procedures.
* Liaising with other departments regarding parts and equipment distribution.
* Inventory Management via the company’s ERP system.
* Scheduled reporting to management (including annual stocktaking activities).
* Departmental quality control.
* Training and development, supervision and work allocation of staff.
Qualification & Experience
The ideal candidates for this opportunity will have:
* A Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline OR a minimum of five years recent and relevant experience.
* Experience in all responsibilities listed above.
* Current Drivers’ License.
* Demonstrated strong commitment to excellence and quality.
* Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
