About the role
We're seeking casual chefs/cooks who take pride, have fun and are excited by crafting food that genuinely delights our guests. You'll contribute to a consistently high standard of dishes while helping maintain an efficient, well‐organised kitchen across a range of service times.
Responsibilities
* Deliver consistently high‐quality food that reflects the standards and identity of Nyaal Banyul.
* Support smooth kitchen operations, from prep to service, across a wide range of event styles and service periods.
* Work collaboratively with the broader culinary and events team to ensure timing, presentation, and service align seamlessly with guest expectations.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well‐organised workspace, contributing to a kitchen environment that runs confidently under pressure.
* Ensure adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Bring creativity and enthusiasm to menu execution, adapting to diverse dietary needs and event requirements with care.
* When required, direct activity for food production teams or individuals in accordance with HACCP protocols.
Qualifications
* Trades Indentured Chef or qualified/certified Chef, or passionate cook engaged in specialised cookery, baking, pastry cooking, or cold larder preparation.
* Experience in high‐end restaurant and high‐volume venues highly regarded.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Passion for creating high‐quality, innovative dishes.
