We are looking for an External Sales Engineer – Chemical, Oil and Gas to join our Perth, WA team and help grow our presence across two of Western Australia's most dynamic industrial sectors. You will play a key role in strengthening how we support customers with our instrumentation, solutions, and services.

You'll partner closely with customers, EPCs, system integrators, and internal specialists to identify opportunities, shape projects early, and support applications across Oil & Gas and Chemical processing environments. You'll be at the forefront of strengthening our footprint and bringing our industry‐leading expertise to a growing market.
Which tasks will you perform?
* Develop and implement sales activities to grow our footprint across the Oil & Gas and Chemical market segments.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
* Build strong relationships with customers, EPCs, and system integrators to increase specification and project engagement.
* Drive early involvement in developing accounts and projects to position our instrumentation, solutions, and services effectively.
* Provide technical and commercial support across flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analytical measurement applications.
* Support customers with applications relevant to Oil & Gas and Chemical environments, including safety and compliance‐driven processes.
* Manage opportunities through C‐360 (Salesforce) to maintain accurate pipelines and forecasting.
* Collaborate closely with internal sales engineers, service teams, and product specialists to meet customer needs effectively.
* Conduct regular customer visits while continually developing your own industry and application knowledge.
What do we expect from you?
* Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of achieving and/or exceeding sales targets.
* Engineering qualifications (Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) or equivalent experience.
* Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or external sales within industrial, Oil & Gas, or Chemical environments.
* Possess working knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process measurement.
* Willingness to learn and develop capability across Oil & Gas and Chemical applications.
* Can plan and deliver account strategies, forecasts, reports, and structured customer interactions.
* Can manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders with support from your team.
* Communicate clearly, present confidently, and build trusting long‐term relationships.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
