Teaching Position in Secondary Education
We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a secondary classroom teacher. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach humanities and/or food technology to students in years 7-12.
Job Description:
The role of the secondary classroom teacher is to provide quality instruction within the college's Christian worldview and in accordance with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
Responsibilities:
* To understand the philosophy of Christian education and translate it into practice.
* To plan and prepare effective, quality teaching and learning programs and practices, which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the College's pedagogical framework and policies.
* To create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, which is inclusive, learner-centered and academically stimulating.
* To add value to the educational experience by initiating and leading curricular and extra-curricular activities which provide excellent opportunities for students to develop Christian character and grow to their full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have a current Queensland Teachers Registration and a certificate II in hospitality (desirable but not essential).
