Glory 22 Pty Ltd trading as Boronia Goodfellas and trading to the public as Goodfellas Café & Eatery is seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. The position is full-time, 38 hours per week, with a salary of AUD 77,000 per annum plus superannuation. Goodfellas Café & Eatery operates and looking for a candidate who can work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, hygiene, and safety. This version has been aligned to Cook (ANZSCO 351411) rather than Chef. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of menu items in accordance with recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards Assist with food preparation, mise end place, portioning, and plating during service Cook and assemble dishes efficiently during breakfast, brunch, lunch, and other service periods Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen, and workplace health and safety requirements at all times Assist with stock rotation, checking deliveries, monitoring ingredients, and maintaining kitchen supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment Support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service periods Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and assist other team members as directed. Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery, preferably Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent At least 2 years of practical experience in a commercial kitchen or similar hospitality environment Strong food preparation and cooking skills Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines Strong teamwork and communication skills Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts where required.
