The Head of Department is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the coordination and development of curriculum areas at Xavier Catholic College. The successful applicant will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of learning programs, ensuring alignment with national, state, and local standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement curriculum aligned with national, state, and local standards.
* Lead and innovate within the specified curriculum area.
* Supervise teaching quality through collegial planning, moderation, classroom observation, and reflective practice.
* Monitor student learning outcomes using performance data and implement appropriate interventions.
About You:
* Relevant contemporary skills and experience in education, including curriculum development and management.
* Ability to teach Specialist Mathematics.
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
