Reporting to the Team Leader, Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Analyst provides intelligence services to both internal clients, as well as to the Client-Partners and
external stakeholders. Among other duties, the incumbent identifies business requirements, develops analytical processes using various data sources, interprets data analysis and
validates data, recommends and communicates analysis, and produces visual tools such as dashboards and reports. The incumbent also ensures these deliverables provide key
information as part of visual and evidenced-based analysis to help DCC and the Department of National Defence (DND) identify data to support key decisions, measure key performance metrics and manage portfolio requirements.
KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:
Primary
* Identify client business intelligence requirements, interpret, and establish viable data modelling to complete analytical and visualization tools (e.g. dashboards, reports)
* Coordinate applicable data to provide analysis and visual tools using various automated data sources and technologies
* Interpret output of completed analysis and ensure accuracy of data
* Validate data with various stakeholders, including DCC, DND and industry
* Provide advice and recommendations to key senior-level Client-Partners
* Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders
* Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate expectations
* Manage risk

Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience
Minimum: university degree in engineering, data sciences, computer science, business, mathematics, economics, statistics, management, accounting or related field with six to
eight years' relevant experience, or the equivalent
Abilities
* Use computer programs to perform advanced tasks
* Use applicable computer software and operating systems

Typical office environment with occasional travel
