Matrix Education is now hiring Science Teachers across Biology, Chemistry and Physics to join us at our Parramatta, Castle Hill, Chatswood, Hurstville, Strathfield or Epping campuses.
This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school and primary Teachers, corporate professionals, university teaching staff and post graduate candidates and students.
Classes are available after school from 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our convenient locations, which are easily accessible via public transport.
You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.
What you'll do
* Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic school term,
* Ongoing monitoring of student's academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes,
* Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
What you'll need
* A genuine passion for teaching,
* Previous experience teaching stage 6 Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics in a classroom setting,
* Have extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in science,
* Have completed their degree in Education, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
