Establish and maintain networks with internal and external stakeholders, including with key officers within the Department, within Justice Portfolio bodies, and across other government departments.
- Prepare high level briefing documents, submissions, correspondence and reports.
- Consult with relevant business units (including legal, finance, audit and parliamentary services), and other government Departments, to provide expert advice and support to staff, senior managers, the Office of the Director-General and the Minister on the development and implementation of policy issues and proposals relating to Justice Portfolio bodies.
- Manage key projects and activities as required, including directing the work of staff, consultants and/or temporary contractors engaged to undertake components of project work relating to the Justice Portfolio bodies.
- Provide high level support to the Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General in the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform and coordinate the day-to-day administrative duties of the unit to ensure the timely and accurate flow of information.
- Actively participate as an effective team member in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including professional and ethical behaviour.
- Undertake duties and tasks as requested by the Deputy Director-General or Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General.
