Business Development Manager Job Description
This role is ideal for those who are passionate about driving growth and expansion in the enterprise content management (ECM) industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with senior leaders to execute a global go-to-market strategy.
* Expand adoption and drive new customer acquisition through strategic partnerships.
* Act as an ECM subject matter expert, coaching teams on compliance and information governance outcomes.
* Deliver value propositions and lead solution selling, including demos and AI-enabled capabilities.
* Launch targeted campaigns to showcase ECM's compliance and productivity benefits.
* Monitor competitors and provide feedback to shape the ECM roadmap.
* Drive thought leadership through presentations, articles, and customer references.
This role requires a genuine passion for information management and a drive to help organizations unlock the value of their content. Proven experience in ECM/EDRMS or related enterprise software sales is essential, ideally in an ERP or information management context.
Requirements:
* A strong knowledge of document and records management, compliance obligations, and governance frameworks.
* Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with records and information management professionals, C-suite leaders, and functional executives across ERP domains.
* Experience positioning software solutions and articulating differentiated value.
* Excellent consultative selling skills with the ability to connect regulatory requirements to tangible business outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

* Experience working with at least one of the listed product areas: Financials, Enterprise Asset Management / Supply Chain Management, Student Management, Timetabling & Scheduling, Human Resource & Payroll.
Product Areas:
* Financials:
o Participate in the planning, execution, and delivery of the Financials product roadmap.
o Work closely with senior leaders to design and execute go-to-market strategies.
* Enterprise Asset Management / Supply Chain Management:
o Grow product footprint, acquire new customers, and maximise ROI with existing clients.
o Launch upsell and cross-sell initiatives and identify market opportunities.
* Student Management:
o Support pipeline and deliver value propositions, demos, and ROI analyses.
o Act as product SME, mentor teams, and collaborate on customer solutions.
* Timetabling & Scheduling:
o Report to senior leaders to design and execute go-to-market strategy.
o Grow product footprint, acquire new customers, and maximise ROI with existing clients.
* Human Resources & Payroll:
o Drive product growth and customer acquisition with Sales and Industry leaders.
o Support expansion across ANZ and the UK in the HCM market.
