You will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision. Your expertise will ensure that our high standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menus and events;
* Lead a team of Chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Stewards, and Apprentice Chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork;
* Cater for functions and events, providing bespoke culinary solutions;
* Prepare, present, and serve high-quality food, exceeding customer expectations;
* Oversee stock management, including stock takes and recording wastage, maintaining optimal levels of efficiency and cost-effectiveness;
* Plan and order stock effectively, guaranteeing continuity of supply and minimizing waste;
* Ensure food health and safety standards are met, adhering to regulatory requirements;
* Implement and enforce relevant food legislation, safeguarding the well-being of customers and staff alike;
Requirements
* At least 3 years' experience as a Senior Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a proven track record of success;
* Relevant trade qualifications, including Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery, First Aid Certificate, and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain;
* High customer service skills and a strong commitment to your craft, customers, and colleagues;
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution;
* Ability to work under pressure, managing stressful situations with poise and professionalism;
