Purpose
The Youth Program Team Leader - OoHC leads a team of youth support workers and support staff to deliver trauma-informed, therapeutic care for young people in residential or other out-of-home care settings. The role ensures young people's safety, well-being, cultural connections, and developmental needs are met while promoting resilience, independence, and permanency. Key focus areas include staff supervision, program oversight, compliance with child-safe standards, and stakeholder collaboration.
The ideal candidate
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential/Out of Home Care stream), Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent.
* Minimum 2–3 years' direct experience in residential out-of-home care or youth support, including with young people exhibiting complex trauma and challenging behaviours.
* Practical knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic approaches in daily practice.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including both short and long shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, sleepovers and public holidays
