Operating from our large processing facility in Geebung, National Glass services the Queensland and Northern NSW markets with high-performance architectural and safety glass solutions. We're seeking a motivated Maintenance supervisor to join our maintenance team and keep our modern production lines running efficiently.
In this hands-on role, you'll play a critical part leading a team of trades in ensuring plant uptime and operational efficiency. You will work with a variety of automated machinery, including high-end European glass processing equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervision of preventative and reactive maintenance of manufacturing equipment
* Leading the team in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults and identifying long-term solutions to improve equipment reliability
* Supporting the scheduling and coordination of planned and reactive maintenance and audit completed works
* Assist with planning, engagement and works of trade specialist
* Provide team supervision on weekends and shutdown events when planned
* Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives in the maintenance program
* Suggest the procurement of critical machine parts and advises shortage in inventory
* Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and company policies
* Contributing to a positive, team-focused maintenance environment
What You'll Bring:
* A Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* Proven history of team leadership with outstanding communication skills
* Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or Electrician
* Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, especially with automated equipment
* Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
* Sound computer skills to interact with machine interfaces
* Excellent technical and fault-finding skills
* Glass processing or CNC machinery experience is highly regarded
