* Academic Level A - $112,718 to $136,180 remuneration package

The Role

Join a high‑impact Australian Research Council–funded project and help shape the future of low‑carbon construction.

Based at our Kingswood campus, this exciting full‑time research role focuses on advancing recycled concrete technologies and cement decarbonisation to support a more sustainable construction industry. You will work closely with a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary project team and contribute to nationally significant research on green technologies and sustainable development.

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will:

* Lead and contribute to innovative research in sustainable construction materials and technologies
* Collect, analyse and manage research data for publication and presentation
* Publish high‑quality research outputs (including Q1 journal articles, book chapters and authored works)
* Prepare and submit competitive research grant applications
* Supervise and mentor higher degree research students
* Collaborate with industry and academic partners across the project
* Contribute to the intellectual life of the School and University through seminars, guest lectures and engagement activities

This is an outcomes‑driven role with regular performance reviews to support your professional growth and research impact.


About You

You are a motivated and independent researcher with:

* A strong publication record, particularly in Q1 journals, in sustainable construction or related fields
* Demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding
* Strong skills in experimental design and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
* Experience using data analysis software and research tools
* The ability to generate independent, credible research ideas
* Experience working with government, industry and professional partners
* A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and in a team
